T-Rex started in cub scouts last month. This month at pack night he received his first awarded. He earned his Bobcat. We are so proud and he loves cub scouts. Here are some pictures of him getting his award.
Here he is kissing his den leader, WHAT???
Oh wait that"s his mom. Yes, that is my crazy way of telling you all that I to am in Cub Scouts now too! I'm T-Rex's new Wolf leader.
We have had even more fun. Last Sunday we woke up to only half the power working in the house, and it wasn't the power companies fault. We had what you call a brown out, some how one of the two power lines that come into our house broke. And of course we couldn't have a regular power cords that hook right to the house and only have to replace six feet of wire. No, we have the power box 30 feet away from the house and no nice conduit for the wire to go in. Needless to say we had to dig up the front lawn and put in conduit and new wiring.
This is how deep we had to dig down. T-Rex thought it was his own play fort!
Look how deep they had to dig that hole!

T-Rex is Baptized
T-Rex was Baptized on August 30, 2008. Thank you to all of you that came, and made it such a great day. T-Rex enjoyed having all the family around, so much so that Tuesday afternoon he wanted to know, "what cousins were coming over today?" When I told him none, he was, "so so bored!" Anyways those who weren't there were missed. His cousin Jacob Wilkerson, baptized T-Rex and Grandpa Rex confirmed him. T-Rex said he felt all tingly inside. We are proud of his decision.

Greatest Birthday Vacation!!
T-Rex turned eight!!! We spend his birthday in California, 3 days in Disneyland, a day at Universal Studios, and a day at Sea World. It was a crazy whorl wind, but really really fun. Disneyland was the same as I remembered it, yet so much more too. T-Rex loved all the fast rides the best, but he did like the Tiki room. It was so great to watch T-Rex's eyes light up with each new turn. It's some thing he will remember the rest of his life. We also got to stay at the Hilton while we were in Anaheim, you all know me better I got a killer deal! We spent T-Rex's actual birthday at Universal Studios, the home of Spider-men movies, and Jurassic Park. He really liked Curious George's play areas, but 3 days with out toys and you'll play with anything. If you ask T-Rex what his favorite park was he says, "Sea World." I can't believe how it has grown since I was a kid. It is humongous, Shamu's stadium is gigantic, it was easy to get lost in there. We didn't even get to see all the shows, but we did bring Shamu home with us. Well at least on dvd, so if anyone wants to see what Shamu is up to now, you can come watch it here, cause it's not leaving T-Rex's sight. We had tickets to the San Diego Zoo Monday, but we were to ready to get home.
We made it home 13 hours before T-Rex started school again. He is so excited to be in 3rd grade, and proud of himself. He even told his teacher all the things in school he is great at. Things are just settling down till this weekend for T-Rex's Baptism. More to come on that note.
I can't forget the to introduce the newest member of our family, Jax Larsen. Isn't he cute. Who would have thought a puppy you get for free would cost so much, but that's another story.

Family Reunion!
Things have been a little crazy around here Getting ready for school to start (in10 days) T-Rex's Birthday, vacation and then getting ready for a Moon Lake Family Reunion. This summer just flew by and I can't believe it is over. We got to take Brexton up with us which was way fun for T-Rex, most of the time, he wasn't sure he liked having to keep track of a little brother. We all had a lot of fun with the beach, boating, tubing
and playing in the woods, other then the bug bites.
Every one enjoyed the mud pit, even me,
who needs to pay $250.00 for a mud bath. T-Rex Casey and Naomi had so much fun covering me with mud. We did bury a few kids in the sand also. Every one in the picture was buried at one point.
Who would have thought making it so a kid is unable to move would have such an appeal. We were able to have a few of the "cousins" stay over night with us, which was fun for T-Rex. All and all it was a great time for everyone.

Lagoon Fun!!
On the 12th of July T-Rex and I went to Lagoon with Ric, Anthony, and Nathan. The boys had such a great time. T-Rex wasn't so sure about waiting in line, but once he discovered the roller coasters he was in heaven. It didn't matter how long the line was as long as he got to feel like he was flying. T-Rex's favorite was Colossus, The Fire Dragon. He loved going upside down and not being able to move his arms. It was another great experience for T-Rex. I wasn't sure if he would try the roller coasters, but glad he did. However I think it created a monster-thrill seeker. He made me sick dragging me on all the crazy rides. It was great fun, I think we all enjoyed!

July's here ALREADY!!
I can't believe how time just snuck by. In May we got so wrapped up in the end of school. T-Rex got an award for Top Math Student. We are very proud. Most of June has been cousins, cousins, and more cousins. T-Rex has been loving it. Ty and Mel came and took Dad and T-Rex camping and horseback riding in the mountains. We all went up and had dinner with them the 1st night. T-Rex wasn't going to stay so we didn't pack him anything, but of course he changed his mind. T-Rex thought that playing in the stream right before dark, and then deciding to
camp-out with no other clothes was a good idea! Thank goodness for Uncle Todd, Super Army Todd.
We spent a few days up at Ric & Niki's watching the boys for them. We found lots of fun things to do in the Salt Lake area. I loved those boys before, but I fell in love with them during our time together, they are awesome kids, and Brady is such a ham. There are quiet a few parks with water features in them for the kids to play in, and boy did they play. As long as there was some type of water activity everyone was happy.
We got home and rested a day then had Brex and Jensen for the weekend. Like I said before cousins, cousins, and more cousins! It wore me out, but T-Rex just wanted to know when they're all coming again.

Greatest Neighbors and Brandon Mull!!!

So not much has happened this week. We are all just getting excited for the end of the school year. 12 1/2 days left. T-Rex has been counting down in school.
So last Monday our neighbors the Stonehocker call me up and said their son Luke had out grown his bike and wanted to give it to T-Rex. Little do we know what they meant by bike. And no that does not mean it is a motorcycle. It is a motor less motor bike, it is so cool. It look just like a really motor cross bike. It even has disk brakes and major shocks. When they told T-Rex it was for him he was so shock, I mean not a word for almost five minutes. That's a record for him. He loves his new bike. Now it just teaching him to ride it, it's a bit bulky, but he doesn't care.
Yes I did have a birthday on the 9th, but I did not, repeat did not get older. It was just another day mainly, I even had to work on it. How ever on the 10th of May I got to meet my favorite author Brandon Mull. For those of you who don't know who he is and what he writes, he is the author of the series Fablehaven. If you like fantasy you need to read Fablehaven, it is so good. I got to meet a lot of great authors from Utah, but my favorite is Brandon Mull.
I took my nephew Anthony with me, he also like Fablehaven. It is great fantasy with out so much garbage. All three of my books are now autographed, I'm so lucky. It made a great Mother's day present! T-Rex even took and wrapped them all up for my Mother's day presents.

Spring Break
We took this idea from my brother's Family, and thought this might be a good way to let people know what we have been up to. The plan is to keep it updated, the key word is 'plan'.
For spring break we went up to the Living Planet Aquarium and Tracy Aviary. T-Rex had a ball. At the Aquarium T-Rex's favorite part was the Sharks. He loves sharks! We also got to pet a Sting Ray.
T-Rex thought it felt slimy, but you will never know unless you try it! He also thought the jelly fish were fascinating, and we can't forget about Oscar the octopus. Then we went to Tracy Aviary to see all the many different kinds of birds. There were Bald Eagles, Condor, Flamingos, and even Vultures. T-Rex and Terry were in heaven see all the different birds. T-Rex even meet a special lady there.
He loved this goose, she even came right up to him. All and all we had a great time on our day out.
Thanks for joining us, tune in next time.
